What Reme does after closing
Note: This feature is part of the AI TC add-on. See Plans and pricing.
The moment a transaction moves to the closed stage, Reme generates a full post-closing checklist — a set of dated tasks plus a batch of drafted follow-up emails — so nothing after closing day slips.

Reme creates nine tasks, each with its own due date counted in business days from your closing date:
| Task | Due |
|---|---|
| Upload final settlement statement (ALTA/HUD) to the transaction file | 1 business day after closing |
| Email closing docs to your brokerage's document intake | 1 business day after closing |
| Gather copies of commission checks for the brokerage | 3 business days after closing |
| Confirm commission check received and record the amount | Follow up around 10 business days after closing if not yet received |
| Coordinate key exchange between buyer and seller | Closing day |
| Arrange for-sale sign removal from the property | 1 business day after closing |
| Send seller utility disconnect reminder | 1 business day after closing |
| Send client review request | 7 business days after closing |
| Update MLS/CTM eContracts (CTM) to Sold | 1 business day after closing |
Some of these tasks are ones Reme handles itself (like drafting the utility disconnect reminder); others — like gathering and confirming commission checks, and updating MLS status — stay assigned to you, since they require action outside Done-Deal.
Each task also carries its own risk level, the same way any other Reme action does — the settlement statement and document-intake tasks are HIGH risk, commission and key exchange tasks are MEDIUM, and the rest are LOW. See Risk levels and approvals for what that means for whether they need your sign-off.
The drafted emails
Alongside the checklist, Reme drafts up to three emails for your review, depending on which contacts are on file for the transaction:
- Client review request — a congratulations note to your client asking for a review, with space for your Google, Zillow, and Realtor.com profile links.
- Utility disconnect reminder — sent to the seller, listing out electric, gas, water/sewer, trash, internet, and security/monitoring accounts to close out or transfer.
- Key exchange coordination — sent to whichever party is handing off keys, covering house keys, garage remotes, mailbox keys, gate codes, alarm codes, and any HOA fobs.
Every one of these is a draft. None of them send automatically — they wait in the Feed for you to approve, edit, or skip, exactly like any other Reme action. See Reviewing and approving actions in the Feed.
FAQ
When exactly does this checklist get generated?
The moment a transaction's stage changes to closed. You don't have to trigger it manually.
Do I have to use Reme's drafted post-closing emails as written?
No — edit any of them before approving, the same as any other Feed item. They're a starting point built from the transaction's property address, closing date, and client details.
What if a task on the checklist doesn't apply to this deal?
You can skip any individual task the same way you'd skip any other Feed item. For example, if there's no seller-side utility handoff needed on a particular deal, skip that reminder.
Does this replace updating the MLS myself?
No. Reme reminds you to update MLS/CTM status to Sold, but the actual MLS update happens outside Done-Deal — that task stays assigned to you.
