Connecting your email and Telegram

Updated 2026-07-01

Connecting an email account lets Done-Deal send contracts, documents, and client communications from your own address instead of a generic one. This article covers the Connect Outlook and Connect Telegram steps in the onboarding wizard, and what each one is for.

Connect Outlook

During onboarding, click Connect Outlook to start Microsoft's sign-in flow. You'll be asked to log into your Microsoft/Outlook account and approve access; Done-Deal then sends and reads on your behalf through the Microsoft Graph API. If you'd rather do this later, click Skip for now.

Note: During onboarding, Gmail shows as Connect Gmail & Google Calendar but is marked "Coming next week" and can't be connected from this step yet. Gmail is available today — connect it from Settings → Connections instead, where it appears as Google Workspace.

Why this matters

  • Without a connected email account, contracts and client communications send from a generic address instead of your own.
  • If you have the AI TC add-on, Reme reads incoming transaction email from your connected inbox and drafts replies for your approval — it can't do this until an email account is connected.

Note: Reme reading your inbox and drafting communications is part of the AI TC add-on. See Plans and pricing.

Connect Telegram

The next onboarding step lets you link a Telegram account so you can get real-time alerts and approve AI actions from your phone. This step is optional — enter your Telegram username, or click I'll do this later.

To connect:

  1. Open Telegram and search for your brokerage's Done-Deal bot (ask your office admin for the bot name if you don't know it).
  2. Send the bot the message /start.
  3. Enter your Telegram username on the onboarding step (or later in Settings) and save.

Connecting later

If you skipped either step, go to Settings → Connections any time to connect Outlook, Google Workspace (Gmail), or Telegram. Each shows a Configured or Connected badge once it's linked, with the option to disconnect.

FAQ

Do I have to connect email to use Done-Deal?

No. Forms, e-signing, and transaction organization all work without a connected email account. But contracts and communications send from a generic address until you connect one, and Reme can't read or draft from your inbox without it.

Can I connect both Outlook and Gmail?

The Settings page shows both as separate connections, but you only need one for Done-Deal to send and read on your behalf. Connect whichever one you actually use for transaction email.

Is Telegram required?

No. It's the fastest way to get alerts and approve AI actions on your phone, but everything it does is also available inside the app.

What does the brokerage's Telegram bot actually do?

It's how Done-Deal delivers alerts and approval requests to you in Telegram once you've linked your username. Your brokerage admin sets up the bot; you just link your account to it.
