How you find out about an upcoming deadline

Updated 2026-07-01

Done-Deal calculates every deadline the moment a transaction has a mutual execution of contract (MEC) date — see How deadlines are calculated for the rules. This article covers how you actually find out one is coming up: what's visible without the AI TC add-on, and what Reme actively does with the add-on.

Without the AI TC add-on

Deadlines don't push themselves to you on the base plan — you check for them, but Done-Deal makes that fast:

  • The Deadlines list on each transaction shows every deadline soonest first, with a color-coded pill: red if it's overdue, amber if it's due within 3 days, blue if it's due within 7 days, and neutral otherwise.
  • The Tasks page lists every task across all your transactions sorted by due date, including any compliance tasks and anything from a task template.

Both are always current — there's nothing to refresh or sync.

Note: This feature is part of the AI TC add-on. See Plans and pricing.

With the AI TC add-on — Reme watches deadlines for you

Reme runs a deadline scan twice a day and does the outreach for you:

The twice-daily deadline scan

Every 12 hours, Reme reviews every transaction's deadlines and flags anything due within 48 hours, or already overdue.

Reminder drafts

For flagged deadlines, Reme drafts reminders using two tools:

  • A reminder addressed to you, the agent.
  • A reminder addressed to every party responsible for that specific deadline — not just you. Done-Deal maps each deadline type to the right people: for example, an Inspection Objection deadline notifies the buyer and the inspector; a Title Commitment deadline notifies the title company; a Wire Fraud Warning notifies the buyer and title, with an explicit reminder to verify wiring instructions by phone, never by email alone.

Like every Reme action, these are drafts. They wait in your Feed for one-click approval before anything goes out — Reme never sends a deadline reminder without you reviewing it first.

Telegram alerts

If you've connected Telegram (Settings → Integrations), Reme sends a short summary after each scan — "You have 3 new items to review" — and an individual alert for anything high risk, so you don't have to be in the app to know something needs your attention.

Calendar sync

Settings → Integrations also has a per-side deadline selector: choose which deadline types you want pinned to your calendar when you represent the buyer, and separately when you represent the seller. With the AI TC add-on connected to Google or Outlook, Reme pushes your pinned deadlines to that calendar automatically, checking every 15 minutes for anything new or changed.

FAQ

Will Reme ever send a reminder without asking me first?

No. Deadline reminders and party notifications are drafted for your review and always wait in the Feed. Reme drafts and flags; you approve.

How often does Reme check for upcoming deadlines?

Every 12 hours. It flags anything due within 48 hours or already overdue.

I don't have the AI TC add-on. Do I get any deadline alerts at all?

Not push notifications, but nothing is hidden from you either — the Deadlines list on every transaction and the Tasks page are both live and color-coded by urgency, so a quick look tells you what's coming up.

What does "notify every party" actually mean?

Reme doesn't just remind you — it drafts a separate, role-specific reminder for each party a deadline actually affects (buyer, seller, lender, title, or inspector), so the person responsible for acting hears about it directly, not just you.
